Mid-Autumn Festival Networking Session at Spinelli, Singapore

Networking session at Spinelli, Singapore

Following the success of Cards & Payments Asia and Retail World Asia earlier this year, we have received feedback from attendees that they wish to network with fellow industry players and have the opportunity to share more about the industry in a relatively informal setting. As such, in conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival this year, we organised a ‘by-invitation only' business networking session on Friday, 27 September 2013 @ Spinelli HarbourFront, Singapore!

We were extremely delighted to host senior representatives from various financial institutions, retailers, leisure and entertainment and solution providers including 2C2P, C. K. Tang, Courts, Dell, DHL Global Mail, EZ-Link, Groupon, GS1 Singapore Limited, IER Pte Ltd, Korvac Holdings, Menu Pony, Nera Telecommunication, Retail Juice, Royal Selangor, Sentosa Leisure Management, Singpost Ecommerce, SingTel, SoftLayer Technologies, Spinelli, Standard Chartered Bank, UL Transaction Security and many more!

During the networking session, we gave a sneak preview of one of the latest conference highlights to be launched in 2014 – the Peer-2-Peer Roundtables!  All networking attendees joined one of the following Roundtables and in no time, everyone was exchanging views and sharing their experiences. It was impossible for anyone to interrupt the fervent discussions taking place at each Roundtable!

  • ‘What are the best ways to push for a cashless future in Asia?' hosted by Standard Chartered Bank
  • ‘Does NFC have a future in other industries besides payments (e.g. wearable tech, smart-tagging, healthcare, access control)?' hosted by EZ-Link
  • ‘Bridging the gap between online and offline and learning to leverage mobile channels effectively to engage customers' hosted by Dell
  • ‘Overcoming challenges and strengthening your brand with retail innovation. Eg. digital signage, augmented reality, mobile apps' hosted by Retail Juice

Peer-2-Peer Roundtable Discussions at Networking Session

The networking session allowed everyone to learn more about the industry's trends and developments, make new contacts and interact with fellow like-minded professionals in an informal setting. Towards the end of the session at 6pm, many attendees were seen chatting happily with one another and some even headed to a nearby pub for an extended networking session!

We'll be running more of such ‘by-invitation only' networking sessions over the next 6 months leading to Cards & Payments Asia 2014. To receive our invitations, join our mailing list now!
