Visa have been pushing the field for contactless payments and the same is being seen in the world of transport ticketing and payments.
In London, Visa is now an accepted pay method on London busses, which has seen it reach 1 million contactless payments since its implementation. While this is small in comparison to Oyster users, around 1,000 new people are using contactless Visa payments a day.
They’ll undoubtedly grow when contactless reaches out to the world of the Underground network as part of a deal with TFL.
