My Taxi, a cashless taxi service that started in Germany is to cross the Atlantic and launch in the United States, while also expanding outwards to new areas of Germany and into Spain.
My Taxi works by letting you book and pay for a taxi using a smartphone, meaning consumers won't have to deal with the hassle of making a payment by cash, or worrying if the taxi in question takes card.
This taxi exclusive service is just another example of how the world of banking is moving closer and closer to becoming entirely cashless.
Do you think this is a smart move for taxi and other travel services?
Is this yet another step towards a world where physical money no longer matters?
You can listen and talk to some of the biggest payment industry gurus as they talk about the future of payment technologies and where the banking world might go at Cards & Payments Africa 2013.
