Paypal to widen its reach to SMEs in Indonesia

It has been reported that global online payment service provider PayPal will be expanding its reach to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia through a partnership with Doku, an Indonesian online payment gateway firm. PayPal's GM for Southeast Asia mentioned that PayPal has witnessed good organic growth from their business of providing payment services to SMEs. Doku's COO explained that they had been in discussions with PayPal regarding this partnership for over 2 years and only decided to seal the deal this year as they find that more merchants have realised the importance of e-commerce and online payments.
