Gone are the days when Gemalto were known for producing payment cards, ID cards and smartcards; now they have positioned themselves as the leading choice for NFC technology with a series of important collaborations.
Gemalto are based in 43 countries and last year made over €2,015 million revenue and their growth and vision has clearly been noticed as they are now partnering with Vodafone, T-mobile and ISIS to develop their NFC services.
"We selected Gemalto for their long-standing relationships with financial institutions and mobile operators, which includes experience in securely provisioning services over the air and issuing sensitive financial information to the consumer, Gemalto's dedication to security is unmatched in the industry and will provide the Isis Mobile Commerce Platform with the necessary infrastructure to ensure consumer and merchant confidence in the Isis Mobile Wallet."
Ryan Hughes, Chief Marketing Officer of Isis
Gemalto have proven that they are leaders in the digital security industry and I don't doubt that they will continue to collaborate on some very exciting projects in the future. We have enjoyed hearing from them at Cards and Payments Middle East for the past 3 years and I just thought I'd share some of their presentations with you, if you didn't get a chance to come.
If you have any thoughts or comments on these presentations feel free to leave a comment- feedback is always welcome.
Or why not take the opportunity to register for next year's Cards and Payments Show Middle East where Gemalto and many more will be sharing the latest in payments innovation?
