It turns out that the Asian mobile payment scene is about to get a lot more competitive as new player is about to throw their hat into the ring. Reported in Channel News Asia, SCCP Payment Services (SCCP) has launched their mobile payment platform, Swiff, in Singapore and Malaysia. Swiff has undergone rigorous testing since June last year and SCCP is now ready to push Swiff first on the Asian scene and then onto the global game where it will compete with other mobile payment solutions. According to SCCP, the platform has already handled US$500,000 worth of transactions and that they are more than ready to scale up their operations.
