Facebook has teamed up with several United States-based mobile carriers to announce a service which will facilitate mobile payments. Reported on Mashable, the deal which is set against the very exciting backdrop of Facebook's hyped up IPO is set to pique the interest of mobile carriers the world over. This is as Facebook has made no secret of pursuing online gaming to further boost their revenue. Indeed they have written it down in their IPO filing to brief potential investors of their future plans to consolidate their revenue earnings. At the Mobile World Congress, Facebook's Chief Technology Officer Brett Taylor, announced to the room (and effectively the whole world) that their partnership with mobile carriers is a way to solve a broken mobile payment experience.
