South Korean theme park uses #RFID to create multimedia user experience On the logistical front, the benefits of incorporating RFID technology are beyond doubt. From its ability to shave cost off vital operations and is a major boon for companies looking to reduce their carbon footprint. It is however a pleasant surprise when we find RFID technology being used in more creative and fun avenues. Seen on The Verge, a South Korean theme park called "Live Park", is using RFID technology to shape their visitor experience. The theme park is more of a hugely inflated multimedia exhibition!

How it works is that, visitors would be given a bracelet which would track their movements through the park. The genius of this is the fact that the designers paired this with Microsoft's Kinect. This enables the user to truly interact with the multimedia exhibitions on display. They are able to control virtual avatars base using the Kinect. Therefore, this creates a huge, truly interactive digital multimedia experience.

Watch the video released by Live Park to have a better idea of this fantastic marriage of RFID technology and entertainment!
